Mexico City. This day was announced a strategic alliance between the German company Siemens and ProMexico for the participation of Mexico as an invited country at the 2018 edition of Hannover Messe, the largest industrial fair in the world. Equally, ProMexico announced that there are already currently 60 pre records of companies and Mexican institutions to 2018 in this fair Edition, which will take place from 23 to 27 April in Hannover, Germany.
The announcement was attended by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mexico, Viktor Elbling; the Vice President of Industry, Energy and Logistics of Deutsche Messe, Marc Siemering; the CFO of Siemens Mesoamerica, Julio Serrano; and the General Director of ProMexico, Paulo Carreño King.
The partnership between Siemens and Promexico responds to the common goal of developing the national industry, that is why Hannover Messe 2018 is the ideal platform to promote the entry of Mexican companies to new markets.
In this regard, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mexico, Viktor Elbling said that "Mexico is the first Latin American country invited to Hannover Messe." In addition, the country is the largest Latin American investor in Germany (...). We hope that this 120 enterprises which conform the Mexican delegation, represent the country in all its facets. More than 5 million contacts that bind during 5 days confirm that Hannover Messe will be an important showcase for Mexican companies".
Meanwhile, the Vice President of Industry, Energy and Logistics of Deutsche Messe, Marc Siemering, commented that "businessmen and politicians visit the display to keep abreast on the latest trends and technological challenges in the sector of the" industrial manufacturing and power," explained Marc Siemering, senior Vice President of the Hannover Messe.
"In addition to thousands of exhibitions, there will be numerous business forums, exhibitions of different countries, as well as receptions, where people from the same industry establish new contacts. An example is the ceremony of official opening in which German Chancellor Angela Merkel, together with his counterpart of the guest country welcome to 3 thousand guests outstanding in different parts of the world," he explained.
"Our studies confirm that businesses and organizations of all sizes - from startups and small workshops through to medium-sized companies and technical universities to global companies and federal Governments - made a large number of businesses in the Hannover Messe», said Siemering.

Siemens, with 123 years in Mexico, has been a pioneer in promoting the adoption of Mexican industry scanning and adding it to the fourth industrial revolution or industry 4.0; contributing to maintain leadership and competitiveness with our technology that is present in 60% of the plants of the automotive and brewing industry; 65% of mining projects and 76% of the plants in the cement industry in the country, said Serrano.
In turn, the General Director of ProMexico, Paulo Carreño King, said that Hannover Messe is the world's largest industrial fair. Annually, the most prestigious business firms in the sector meet in this German city to present the most outstanding industrial technological advances, which highlights innovations in the field of automation, machinery, energy and metalworking industry.
"This event plays a central role in the dissemination and promotion of digitalization and 4.0 industry in Mexico, which is part of the key trends that have transformed the manufacturing industry and which serve a vital role in preserving and enhancing the competitiveness of Nations today,".
The 2018 Edition is expected that the event will have 7,500 exhibiting companies from 70 countries; also expected to receive 265 thousand visitors from 80 countries. At relevant times of the agenda, is expected to attend President Enrique Peña Nieto, who will seek to promote the strengths of the country in terms of industry 4.0, energy efficiency, human capital, startups and research and development in the country, among others.
Hannover Messe presents every year the progress and trends of industrial technologies, automation and robotics, software and Informatics, electrical transmission and fluid, integrated energy systems technology, the subcontracting and lightweight design, as well as research and development. In addition, industrial fair CeMAT, the most important in the world in the field of intralogistics and supply chain management, will be held simultaneously with the Hannover Messe 2018 Edition.
The Hannover Messe provides inspiration for the future showing not only news related to products and technologies, but also to ideas, concepts and processes. In the week that the fair lasts, it offers more than 80 conferences and forums with more than 1,700 papers.
In the edition of the year 2017, exhibitors were approximately 5.6 million of business opportunities. The majority of visitors belong to the industrial and energy sectors. We are looking for a delegation 100 institutions and Mexican companies to have the opportunity of showing the national industrial potential and promote business opportunities with companies around the world. This figure takes an advance of 60% in September, 2017.
I has to be borne in mind that in April of this year, the Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo, stressed the importance that Mexico was chosen as guest country of this fair, at times where "whe are almost completing our negotiations with the European Union, because we are launching again and modernizing the agreement with Europe (...) "Germany is our largest trading partner on the continent and one of the leading European investors in Mexico", he said.
