ProMexico and Deutsche Messe agree Mexico as country of honour at the Hannover fair 2018

  • Touring of work by Germany, the Mexican delegation participated in the presentation of the Logo Mexico country partner HM 2018.

Hannover, Germany. A Mexican delegation headed by the Secretary of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo Villareal, Deputy Minister of industry and trade, Rogelio Garza Garza and by the General Director of ProMexico, Paulo Carreño King, attended the Hannover Fair 2017 where it was signed the Promexico-Hannover Messe 2018 contract, and with which Mexico officially became the country's honor in the edition of the Hanover Fair in 2018.

The working group took a tour of the Fair; they visited the main Pavilion of Poland and attended the welcome greeting of Jochen Kockler, Member of the Board of Directors of Deutsche Messe AG and the Secretary of State parliamentary, Uwe Beckmeyer.

Mexico's Secretary of Economy gave a few words and witnessed the signing of the contract by the General Director of ProMexico, Paulo Carreño King and Marco Siemering VP Deutsche Messe to lead the presentation of the logo Mexico Partner Country Hanover Messe 2018.

In the framework of the firm, free trade topic was treated as an instrument of prosperity; the example of Germany and Mexico as emblematic cases of open economies and the involvement of Governments and companies to promote and call for the Mexico country partner HM2018 project.

In the years 2012 and 2013, ProMexico participated with a national Pavilion in Hannover Messe, and in December 2016, the Governments of the two countries formalized before the Board of Directors of Deutsche Messe AG, the acceptance for participation as a guest country at Hannover Messe 2018. In January the Steering Committee were appointed with Deutsche Messe in order to assign ProMexico as the Government entity responsible for leading the project.

The Deutsche Messe AG is the operating company of the Hannover Fair, based in the city of Hanover, Germany and is a leading operator of international trade fairs which has driven sectors such as industry 4.0, energy, logistics, coatings for flooring, industry Lumber, ICT and digital business.

In the previous Edition (2016), the Hanover Fair had the participation of 200 companies from countries such as Germany, China and United States; It was visited by 90,000 professionals; He won 400 demonstrations of various sectors and achieved 5 million business contacts.

During the signing of the contract, ProMexico-hannover Messe 2018, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy, Uwe Beckmayer; representatives of Deutsche Messe AG, Jochen Kockler, Marc Siemering, Michael Rose, Marco Siebert and Bernd Rohde, CEO HannoverFairs Mexico were present.

Meanwhile, the Mexican delegation was formed by the Ambassador of Mexico in Germany, Rogelio Granguillhome Morfin, by the Chief of the Unit of Promotion of Global Business of ProMexico, Mario Chacon Carrillo and by representatives of business domes, as well as Canacintra, Concamin, CCIJ and Camexa.
